Contessa now has a new owner, and a new homeport.  She's been a great boat to own for 14 years, so parting with her is bittersweet.  It's good that her new homeport is only a few miles away.

Fresh varnish on both masts in the past couple of days.  Our technique involves hoisting my wife Cathy up the mast with sandpaper and a tack cloth.  She then sands and tacks her way down the mast.  Back up again with a pot of varnish, and she varnishes her way down.  Switch masts and repeat.  We can now do a coat on both masts in under 90 minutes.  Sorry, no photos, as it is very difficult to haul and photograph at the same time.

Daysail

Got out for an afternoon daysail Sunday.  Couldn't ask for better weather.   75F and up to 15 kts of breeze.  Contessa performed wonderfully, great time had by all.

New Price

Well, after much soul-searching, Cathy and I have decided to re-price to $75,000.  Seems more in line with today's market.
  Fall weather has been kind to us thus far, not too chilly, nor too windy, with one notable exception.  Hope to get out for a sail before long.  New haliards on the mainsail, so I'd like to exercise them, make sure the kinks are out.
